- Sort your removals firm or van hire
- Notify your landlord (if renting) — give written notice
- Start decluttering — tip, donate, or stash what you don't need

- Update your address with bank, work, GP, DVLA
- Order packing boxes (we provide free ones)
- Set up Royal Mail redirection
- Take meter readings on move-out day, send to suppliers

- Confirm removals + storage times
- Pack room by room, label clearly
- Set aside a 'first-night box': kettle, charger, bedding, toiletries
- Defrost the freezer, eat what you can

- Final meter readings
- Hand keys back to landlord / agent
- Check every room once (cupboards, garage, attic)
- Get yourself a takeaway. you've earned it.
