Student storage in Bradford for summer
Finished your exams and heading home for the holidays? Store your university kit in Bradford from £4.75/week, just minutes from campus — no need to lug it all back and forth.

If you study at the University of Bradford or Bradford College, the end of the summer term brings the same headache every year: where does all your stuff go? Dragging a mini fridge, three suitcases and a term’s worth of textbooks back home — then back again in September — is a faff nobody enjoys.
Summer storage fixes that. You keep your belongings safe and local whilst you’re away, and walk back into the new term with everything ready and waiting. Space Buddy is based at St Stephens Mill, Ripley Street, Bradford, BD5 7JW, so it’s an easy hop from student halls and shared houses across the city.
Why store over the summer?
- Heading home for the long break and your landlord wants the room cleared
- Switching flats or halls between this year and next
- Off on a placement, internship, or year abroad
- Sharing a house and nobody has the room to babysit your boxes
What size do students usually need?
Most students need less space than they think. Here’s a quick guide to help you choose:

- Price:
- Most popular for shared houses — split it and save
A whole house clear-out (75–100 sq ft)
- Best for:
- A full shared house emptying between tenancies
- What fits:
- Sofas, beds, white goods, and everyone’s boxes together
Pro tip
Sharing a unit with a flatmate is the cheapest way to store over summer — you split the weekly cost down the middle. Just nominate one lead name on the booking and label your boxes so it’s easy to sort in September. Not sure what’ll fit? Our storage calculator does the maths for you in under two minutes.
What can I store (and what can’t I)?
Pretty much anything from your room: clothes, duvets and bedding, textbooks and folders, kitchen kit, a mini fridge or microwave, bikes, sports gear, and instruments. The usual rules apply — no perishable food, nothing flammable, and no living things. If in doubt, just ask.
How the Founding 50 offer works
Space Buddy is a brand-new facility — opening 31 august 2026. To say thank you to our first customers, the first 50 people to reserve get the Founding 50 deal: 50% off months 1–3, then 10% off as long as you stay. For a summer store that’s a tidy saving — typically ~£82 saved over the first six months.
Spots are limited to 50customers and they’re going — so it’s worth reserving your place before you head off for the holidays. There’s no payment now; you simply join the waitlist and lock in the offer.
Studying in Bradford? There’s also a 10% student discount — 10% off with a valid student id. It doesn’t stack with the Founding 50 deal, so you simply take whichever saves you more — and for a summer store the Founding 50’s 50% off months 1–3usually comes out ahead, so it’s worth grabbing a spot while they last.
Why local matters
We’re not a faceless chain — we’re Bradford locals, based in St Stephens Mill, a piece of the city’s heritage. Because we’re close to campus, you’re not paying for a van to haul everything across the country and back. Drop your things off when term ends, pick them up when you’re back, and get on with your summer.
