Bradford is getting a new self storage facility. Space Buddy Self Storage opens its doors on 31 August 2026, based at St Stephens Mill, Ripley Street, Bradford, BD5 7JW — a short hop from the city centre and the surrounding towns of Shipley, Saltaire, Baildon and Keighley.
We’re housed in St Stephens Mill, a piece of Bradford’s heritage given a new lease of life. Unit sizes and prices
We keep pricing simple: a flat weekly rate by size, starting from £4.75/week for the smallest Pico locker (10 sq ft). Here’s a quick guide to help you choose:
Locker to small unit (10–25 sq ft)

- Students clearing a single room, or a few boxes and bits to tuck away
- What fits:
- Clothes, bedding, boxes, suitcases, a few smaller items
- Price:

Medium unit (35–50 sq ft)
- Best for:
- A flat-share clear-out, business stock, or a couple of rooms’ worth
- What fits:
- The contents of a room or two, appliances, stock, tools and equipment
- Price:

Access and security
Your things should be there when you need them — and safe when you don’t. Every unit has 24/7 access, so you’re never tied to office hours; pop in early, late, or at the weekend. The facility is covered by CCTV and secure entry, and you hold your own lock and key, so only you get into your unit. It’s clean, dry and indoors, which keeps furniture, stock and boxes in good condition whilst they’re with us.
How the Founding 50 offer works
Space Buddy is a brand-new facility — opening 31 august 2026. To say thank you to our first customers, the first 50 people to reserve get the Founding 50 deal: 50% off months 1–3, then 10% off as long as you stay. That’s a tidy saving — typically ~£82 saved over the first six months.
Spots are limited to 50customers and they’re going — so it’s worth reserving your place before we open. There’s no payment now; you simply join the waitlist and lock in the offer.
Studying in Bradford? There’s also a 10% student discount — 10% off with a valid student id. It doesn’t stack with the Founding 50 deal, so you simply take whichever saves you more.
