Use uniform box sizes

Standard-sized boxes stack better and make the most efficient use of vertical space in your unit.

Label everything clearly

Label all sides of boxes with contents and room names. Take photos of box contents for easy reference.

Disassemble large furniture

Take apart beds, tables, and shelving units to save space and make them easier to store safely.

Store heavy items at the bottom

Place heavier boxes at the bottom and lighter ones on top. Create aisles for easy access.

Protect your furniture

Use furniture covers, blankets, or bubble wrap to protect sofas, mattresses, and tables from dust and scratches.

Create an inventory list
